Grizzly's Intro

Postby Grizzly » Sun Jul 14, 2013 4:33 pm

Hi all.

My name is Howard but all my friends know me better as Grizzly due to my old Land Rover being once referred to as looking like a "grizzly monster" (although now most people say it looks like a cow!

I am fairly new to motorcycling and will be taking my CBT this coming Wednesday (17th) in Leigh.

My wife is also starting off in the biking world and we bought a Hyosung Cruise 2 for her last year and then just over a week ago I managed to pick up an identical bike for myself which I am having to repair as it does not run at present but that should not be much of a challenge for me as I am a mechanic. The idea is that mine will be getting a custom rebuild as there are quite a few non-standard things on it already and as I enjoy archery as a hobby it will be getting an archery theme to the bike to go with the arrow-head shaped indicators that have been fitted.

Thinking I should have possibly gone with a username of 'Archer' on here instead! Oh well.

Well today was my CBT in Leigh and all went well.

In fact I think James the instructor was rather pleased at how well myself and Adam (the 16 year old learning to ride a scooter) performed as it made his day nice and easy.

Now the next thing for me to do is practice and then find money for being able to take my tests. Hopefully it won't take too long and then I can decide what route to go down with the bike I've bought! At least it's the same as my wife's one so if nothing else it could be kept for spare parts for that.
